A downloadable game for Windows

Discover cryptiz out in the woods by combining their favourite toys, food and mysterious ichors, then take them home to care for them.

Created for Virtual Pet Jam 2022.

✨How to Play✨

  • The game was firstly designed for phones (we're idiots and didn't read the jam page), where the step count increases as the player walks. On PC, this happens automatically, and you gain steps as time goes on.
  • As you 'walk', your cryptid will sniff out items and add them to your inventory. These items can be used to care for your cryptid by dragging them from the inventory.
  • To find out how your cryptid is feeling, click on them. They'll display some emojis that let you know what type of item they need.
  • You can get more items from the trader. You can also sell any unwanted items here.
  • To find more cryptidz, go to the clues screen. By dragging three clues into the slots, you'll find a cryptid.
  • This cryptid will then be registered in your journal. On the journal screen you can view all the cryptidz you've collected and change which cryptid you have active.

some pets changed colors when restarting the app, that restart also made some talk again, before they were just stuck with the "!" bubble.

the bottom of the app is cut off with the app bar of my pc, what makes it hard to acces some buttons (barely anything of them shows).

the games seems nice, but mostly lacks a more detailed description of what is happening and what the player is supposed to be doing (it at least would be more rewarding to spend more time with it that way). has potential to be pretty addictive.
